Fall & Social Inclusion Fun!

Hello Families!

We had a great second week together. I think these smiling faces agree! Everyone has been doing a great job adapting to our new routine and work expectations. I'm so proud of these 4 sweet faces.

We started our fall unit this week! Throughout the week we read the book: "Fall". In this story we learned the different colors of fall and fall things. We completed pages in our fall journal: vocabulary, fall colors, sorting by color and creating our own mini book with picture symbols.

On Thursday afternoon we started our weekly "social inclusion" period with our 5th grade peers. This is a great time where their peers play directly 1:1  or in a small group with our students. The 5th graders form friendships and relationships with each student. It's so amazing to watch their natural interactions and having them explore new things with their 5th grade friends. This week we went outside to the big playground, it was so great to see them explore the equipment and the kids were more driven to explore with their peers' encouragement. So many smiles all around, I can't wait for next week!
