Hello Fall!

Hello Families!!

This week we read the story Hello Fall! throughout the week and did many fun connecting activities together! We began our week with our introduction do our new vocabulary. Some friends cut & pasted their vocabulary while other wrote their new vocabulary words.

We then practiced sorting leaves by size and by color!

As a class we read an emergent reader and then followed directions and colored the leaves different colors according to the sentences. It was so great to already see improvements with the students' coloring and grasp- it's only been two weeks working on these skills!

As a fun connecting activity we did leaf rubbings- each student was able to choose 2-3 leaves to do their rubbings with. I love all the colors they used, it was a fun activity to do together!

In our story they raked leaves into a pile- so we made our own rake (thanks to Mrs. G!) and everyone practice raking leaves into a pile! It was a fun and different hands on activity!

We sorted different fall and winter activities. It was a great exposure to the different activities to participate in by season and also had to work on cutting, sorting, and correct placement of pictures!

Have a great day!!
