Falling for Fall
Hello Families!!
We had a great week together and did lots of fun activities while continuing to read about fall. This week we did our vocabulary introduction page and learned about new fall words.
We also identified the colors of different fall objects after reading our story. We were also practicing our fine motor skills, color identification and our new fall vocabulary.
We sorted leaves by color as a group. This was such an engaging activity that also had the students practice waiting for their turn, everyone did such an amazing job!! It's so great to see the progress they've made with waiting and turn taking. It's something we practice daily!
We also read a Scholastic News article together on the projector. It was the perfect addition to our fall unit! We were able to make connections to previous lessons and vocabulary.
After reading there was an engaging virtual sorting game! We sorted apples by color and size. Everyone took a turn and some friends needed an extra boost to reach!
This week was yet another great week together as a classroom. Next week we'll be reading the story:
