Apples Everywhere

October 23, 2018
Hello Family and Friends!

Last week we wrapped up our apple unit with some fun activities and crafts. Together we made apple prints with paint. We cut our apples in half in different directions to create different prints and shapes. The students enjoyed getting a little messy. The students then wrote their names on individual apples to decorate our classroom tree. These activities allowed for us to work on writing, color identification, patterning, requesting, communication, textures and fine motor.

A BIG focus this year for our classroom has been increasing inclusion opportunities. The students have really enjoyed going outside for recess and playing on the playground with peers. As the weather changes and there is indoor recess, peers will be coming into our room to play with us too! One of our favorite inclusion times is on Fridays when the 5th graders come and read to us. They really enjoy being read to and making friends with new and familiar faces! The 5th graders are taking the time to learn how to interact meaningfully with our students and there are already bonds being made as you can see in our pictures below!

Hope you have a great day!

Miss Feeley
