Catch Up!
Hello Families!
I apologize for skipping last week's update but let's catch up!!
Last Monday was Halloween! We had SO much fun in our Halloween Centers! The students enjoyed our decorations and activities that day! First let's look at these sweet faces with some "costumes" on and BIG smiles!
Here are some of the FUN activities we did that day:
We read the story:
This is a fun Halloween themed story that also teaches: body party ID, color ID, and sequencing. As we read the story together, they each made their own version of the "big green monster". We answered comprehension questions too about our story. We made sure to use our words throughout
We made sure to have fun sensory activities during the day too! They enjoyed their Halloween sensory bin and water play too!
Then we read a Halloween social story about trick or treating and then they colored in their own mini pumpkin!
LASTLY we made "disappearing ghosts" that would dissolve in water. The kids loved being able to squish them to make them dissolve quicker too.
Last week we read a lot of Scholastic News articles- during each of the activities, the students used their words to communicate and complete the connecting activities.
This week coming up we're going to be reading Peter Rabbit with LOTS of fun connecting activities. I can't wait to share on our next blog update!
Have a great day,
Miss Feeley
