W is for Walrus and Winter Olympics!

Hello Famlies!

Last week we learned about walruses! The students enjoyed our fun book filled with real life pictures. They have done an excellent job retaining and being able to connect and answer comprehension questions at the end of the week.

We played one of our favorite group games, "Here Fishy, Fishy" this games reinforces communication, color ID, turn taking, following simple directions, matching, fine motor, locating and putting together puzzle pieces and waiting!

Our amazing 5th graders and Mr. Connell planned "Winter Olympics" for our students. Everyone had a buddy that they went through the centers with and then everyone won their very own medal to celebrate their hard work! Our 5th grade buddies have really formed some great friendships with our kiddos!

This week we'll be learning about Arctic Foxes and completing our walrus craft for our polar animal wall in the classroom.

Have a great day!
Miss Feeley
