February 25, 2019 Hello Families and Friends!  Last week we wrapped up our Winter Unit by learning about Orcas. We learned and completed our new vocabulary activity, labeled the parts of an Orca and then sorted them by size. This Winter Unit has been one of my favorites so far this year! The students really were very engaged when learning about animals. From their reactions and interest I plan on creating future units to include animals and learning different fun facts! February 20, 2019 Hello Friends and Families! Happy belated Valentine's Day from these beautiful faces!!!            In other news...I hope everyone had a restful and relaxing long weekend! Last week we learned about the Arctic Fox. We completed our vocabulary pages ans sorted by size. Each student did their vocabulary page, labeled the parts of a walrus, sorted them by size and then made a mini-fact book. We wrapped up the week with a comprehension check-in. The students have done a great job learning their new vocabulary and utilizing it appropriately. Next week we'll be learning about the Arctic fox.  On Tuesday we were able to go outside and enjoy the BEAUTIFUL weather. Everyone was so happy to be outside in the fresh air!       On Wednesday we celebrated our 100th day of school. We did some fun activities as a classroom. Each student had 10-frames and they filled each square with finger prints, stickers or marker marks to represent 100. They had a lot of fun getting their hands dirty!                     Our finished product! Have a ...
