Hello Families! I apologize for the delay in updating, we've had some changes in our classroom staffing. Mrs. Melo took a different support position in the school- we miss her! But I am so happy to share with you that we found a wonderful new para for our room- Mrs. L! She started last week and is already creating and making great relationships with all the students. We are so happy to have her join our team!! Welcome Mrs. L!!!  Last week we officially wrapped up our winter animal unit! The students really enjoyed making the connection of animal sounds while reading too.   Hello Famlies! Last week we learned about walruses! The students enjoyed our fun book filled with real life pictures. They have done an excellent job retaining and being able to connect and answer comprehension questions at the end of the week. We played one of our favorite group games, "Here Fishy, Fishy" this games reinforces communication, color ID, turn taking, following simple directions, matching, fine motor, locating and putting together puzzle pieces and waiting!  Our amazing 5th graders and Mr. Connell planned "Winter Olympics" for our students. Everyone had a buddy that they went through the centers with and then everyone won their very own medal to celebrate their hard work! Our 5th grade buddies have really formed some great friendships with our kiddos! This week we'll be learning about Arctic Foxes and completing our walrus craft for our polar animal wall in the classroom. Have a great day! Miss Feeley
