Room 1 News!

  Hello Families! We're back and ready to catch up!! We have a lot to share. We celebrated Greyson's birthday in March, he rocked a fun shirt and a big smile! Happy birthday buddy! Before vacation we did poetry activities.  Together as a class we complete 3 big poster poems about spring for Teaching and Learning Night. They enjoyed coming up to the board to match the pictures to complete each poem. We continued our poetry activities. Each child did an acrostic poem of their name. Each child colored each letter of their name independently. They enjoyed coloring, cutting and pasting.  Our finished products! We also went outside to our school garden and helped clear the garden beds and put fresh soil onto it. Some friends enjoyed getting messy while others we're a fan of the dirt. Mikey found a worm in the soil too! Some fun inclusion moments! Greyson was able to be the leader in kindergarten for his birthday. He did a great job doing the morning message and the calendar.   Hello Families! Our friend Mikey turned 6 in February, happy birthday Mikey!!  Now time to catch up on all the wonderful things that have been happening in our classroom! We read the story,  On the Farm. The kids LOVED being able to read about farm animals and had so much fun identifying them on their devices and playing the sound associated with each animal. We practiced animal sorting, counting, comprehension and yes/no questions. . We also celebrated Valentine's Day together with some fun activities! We read two adapted books that we had pictures to identify and put on each page. We did a fun 5-frame counting activity with hearts and a fun craft with tissue paper making a heart.  Thank you and have a great day!!! Miss Feeley
