Room 1 News!

  Hello Families! Wednesday we had our school wide Field Day!! The kids had SO much fun and stayed busy all day! We went through each station together as a class. Some of the favorites were the parachute, bubbles, the blow up obstacle course (EVERY child went through it at least once!), and we tried so many other activities too.   Hello Families!  Last week was a fun week for us as a class! We spent our days getting ready for our field trip to the zoo. We did a lot of different activities to prepare for our fun trip! We read a book that used different vocabulary words to describe zoo animals. We practiced labeling and coloring.  We spent time as a class reading books about the zoo on the projector. We'd pause it at different parts to work on identification of animals, concepts and core vocabulary. We also identified different vocabulary and animals that we could find at the zoo. We also practiced zoo counting, writing, letter sounds and matching too! FUN FIELD TRIP FRIDAY!!!! We spent the morning reading our social story to prepare for the fun day ahead.  This made sure that everyone knew what the expect and the rules to follow. I also made communication boards with the help of Mrs. Fraser to utilize and use complete sentences to talk about the different animals.
