Hello Families & Friends!!  I hope everyone had a great week! Here are some great pictures of the kids in action during Unified Field Day! It was so amazing to see the students with their peers helping beside them. It truly showed what inclusion is. Hello Families and Friends! Wanted to catch everyone up on the last two weeks! We have learned about rabbits and ducks. We learned our new vocabulary, labeled a diagram of a rabbit & duck, completed adapted fact books, sorted by size and did comprehension check-ins. The students have really enjoyed seeing the real photographs of the animals, the sounds they make, and learning new facts about them!                             I also want to give a BIG welcome back to our friend, Brandon!!! All of his friends are so happy and excited to see him!! As a class we have been enjoying the days when we've had nice weather. It was so fun to go outside on the playground together and with our 5th grade buddies!.         Important Dates to Remember!! Hello Families and Friends!! Last week was an awesome week for learning in Room 1! The students did an excellent job learning about the different parts of a plant and were even able to correctly identify them on a large diagram! We completed a vocabulary introduction, sorted parts of a plant, labeled a diagram, sorted parts by size and a comprehension check in.              We also read a Scholastic News article, " Here Comes the Sunflower."   It was a perfect connection to our theme last week! The students were also able to see their sunflower seeds sprouting too!                                      Important Dates to Remember!
